In 2024 Professor Reginald McGee began as an associate professor at Haverford College. He studies computational immunobiology and develops models and data analysis methods to address questions of scientific and/or clinical interest.

Professor McGee was born, raised, and public-school-educated in Saginaw, Michigan and then attended Florida A&M University—a historically Black land grant institution—as an undergraduate. A job shadow led to a junior year change of major from Actuarial Science to Mathematical Sciences with a minor in economics, but he was still unsuspecting of an impending fascination with biology. Subsequently, McGee completed master’s and doctoral degrees in mathematics at Purdue University. Prior to arriving at Haverford, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Mathematical Biosciences Institute at THE Ohio State University and was a tenure-track assistant professor at College of the Holy Cross.

Professor McGee also enjoys comedy, volleyball, USA Today crosswords, boujee coffee, yoga, card and tabletop games. In a past life he also practiced Tae Kwon Do (3rd Kup).
